Predator

Mark Anthony Henry, born September 14th 1971 to parents, Patricia Mullings, teacher at the GC Foster College and his father Delroy Henry who died in New York when Mark was only 10 years. He recalled being told of his fathers death casually by someone who passed him on the streets, while walking home with his friends.

He remembered the look on his grandmothers face and the crowd gathered at his gate as he drew nearer to home. He was then convinced that this was really so.He attended the Shatola Park Primary and St. Annes Secondary Schools respectively. His hobbies were football and boxing.

He noticed at the tender age of ten (10), that he had a passion for music and his interest brought him to the St. Annes Drum Core where he played drums.

Mark Henry decided to pursue a career in Dancehall music. His persistence took him places, where he met other Artistes and was named PREDATOR by Dancehall veteran Mad Cobra.

PREDATOR became popular when his friend Ninja Ford released his hit single Jump Over Board which made mention of him as ugly as toad. The DJ invited Predator on stage at Sting 1993 and introduced him to the crowd. His distinctive looks awarded him a vast amount of popularity from then, among dancehall artistes and fans alike. He then released singles of his own such as Lucky on the Big Links Records label and Thru Dem Nuh Clean (de fire ago bun dem).

Predators stage performances to date have seen him working on major shows such as Sting and Fresh 1993/1994 and Teen Splash 1994. He went on tour in Europe with Killamanjaro Sound System May 1999, where he worked with the group in Amsterdam and Holland.

Predators latest release MAD written by him on the Stone Cole Label is produced by Mark Hudson and features Bounty Killer. The responses from this new single are good and the Artiste is hoping it will do the job it was created to do. This is one of my greatest achievements, Bounty Killer is my number one DJ said Predator.

Predators favourite type of music are Dancehall and Reggae, he is an easy going and fun loving father of three kids. He enjoys cooking steamed fish, okras and crackers. His ambition is to accomplish International Status as a Dancehall artist.
