Fras Krew

Fras Krew, you know how we do!
The Caribbean melting pot of Miami has again spawned another dynamic talent laced with a spicy flavor and unique style. These artists will soon be recognized and rated internationally for their lyrical caliber and hyper charisma. And now we bring to you, the masses, the new faces of dancehall music
- Shifta a.k.a. Di Gal Dem Mista and Inspekta as they deliver the musical reality of the Fras Krew. This is the new generation of young men who have been opening ears with their tracks on radio stations, hot mix cds and explosive performances on the club scene.

Before we begin to unravel their plans to engage the music industry in an ultimate conquest, we must understand how these individuals began their trek to superstardom. Shifta, while growing up was often surrounded by an entrepreneurial music environment. During the 1980s his father, Piper from Piper Records, based in Jamaica, gave some of dancehalls most prevalent names their first record cuts. With this vast exposure to these many great talents, Shifta starting at a young age gravitated toward the local dancehall scene, which continued upon his migration to Miami. Later on, coupled with his natural affinity for music plus his early life experiences, Shifta began to capitalize on his opportunities by first joining a sound called Wickedness International but soon realized his passion was making music rather than simply playing it.

While discovering and developing his talents Shifta soon encountered a friend for life, Inspekta born Ivan Linton, who also shared the dream of pursuing a career in music. They immediately merged their talents calling themselves the Fras Krew. Ivan too has enjoyed a rich history of involvement in the music arena where his father Ivan Linton Sr., has established and maintained numerous recording studios and record labels such as Arrow Records, based in Jamaica and Newton Square Recording Studios in Miami. Based upon that Inspekta started rhyming from the age of 15, as he knew music was in his blood, and that he had a career in his talents.

Under the management of Timeless Entertainment in conjunction with FC Management, they have piloted the release of mixed cds and hot singles such as "Nuff Gal", "Up In Da Club" and "Ki Ki High-Grade". Their current endeavors include working on a new cd containing collaborations with Nikki B., Wayne Marshall, T.O.K., Calibe and Pit Bull, producing their first own music video and planning upcoming shows. Fras Krew has also opened concerts in various locations for artists such as Beenie Man, Sizzla, Sean Paul, Da Band, Fat Joe, T.O.K., Wayne Marshall and Freddie McGregor.

Their diverse experiences have influenced the blending of their rough Jamaican sound with hardcore American hip-hop slang. The word Fras is the Jamaican term describing the feeling of one reaching their highest point of satisfaction
which for them is their music. Be on the look out for these ambitious, hardworking musicians attempting to captivate your attention whether it is through radio, cd or even on the web.

Nuff Respect!
