Marion Hall aka Lady Saw, voted First Lady of Dancehall, was born in a small village in St. Mary, Jamaica.

As a lot of other Jamaican artists Lady Saw started her carreer on local sound systems. This is a good school if one wants to prepare for eventual recording sessions. The Jamaican recording industry is a hard one, and it's of great importance for you to have your act together once you enter in the recording studio. Someone has payed a lot of money for studio time and of course time is money so if you know what you're doing everybody will be happy and you'll get more chances to record with the producer again, and most likely with others too. Artistes that can't deliver will quite soon be out in the cold as producers have plenty of other artistes to spend money on. Lady Saw is one of the artistes with abilities to deliver and does it all the time.

Saw gives great inspiration for female artist even outside the reggaescene. For example RnB/hiphop-artists as Missy Elliot, Eve, Lil Kim and Foxy Brown whom she all have made combinations with. She is, and has for the last ten years been the number one female dancehall star without doubt, even though some younger artistes like Cecile and Spice tried their best to challenge Lady Saw as the current Queen on the throne.

With the chart successes of her previous singles 'Son Of A Bitch' (featuring Marsha), 'Sycamore Tree' and the duet single 'Healing' which features Beenie Man, Saw keeps gaining momentum for what seems to be an album that will be out of control. 'Striptease' follows Saw's albums entitled 'Passion' & 'Lover Girl', and her sophomore album 'Give Me The Reason' and it is sure to even please consumers with the most selective ears.

This spring 2002 Ms.Hall extended her musical work with production. Her latest riddim 'Blindfold' has versions from all the heavy names and will definitely put her in the league of Jamaica's top producer if she'll keep on producing more material.

Lady Saw returns later 2002 with her new album entitled 'Striptease' and it is here to mash up any dancehall, basement party, house party, or what ever occasion it happens to be.
